A Letter from the Editor
May, 2008
It seems like it was only yesterday that I heard Mark and Dianne discuss their visions for The Tower at our first editorial board meeting. Listening to them, I felt grateful to have the chance to be part of this journal from the very beginning.
I had been working as the Associate Editor for Production for the last few months, and my experience with this journal has been deeply rewarding. It gave me the chance to rekindle my passion for journalism and research. And now, having been selected as the Editor-In-Chief, it is my hope to contribute to the growth of this journal to the best of my ability.
As the new editor, I am delighted to announce that this year The Tower will have Martha Lesniewski as its new Associate Editor for Submission & Review, Henry Li as the new Associate Editor for Production, and Justin Nguyen as the new Business Manager. With Henry’s creativity, Martha’s strong research background, and Justin’s entrepreneurial skill, I believe that we are well prepared to lead The Tower into yet another successful year, continuing the legacy that Mark and Dianne started two years ago.
Yixiao, our former Associate Editor of Submission and Review, made an outstanding effort last year and prepared us well for our first online publication in late summer. I would like to personally thank all the submitters, student and faculty reviewers, as well as the all the production staff who contributed to The Tower’s first online release. We were very fortunate to have such an enthusiastic response from submitters, backed by a strong review and production team last year.
Lastly, I would like to congratulate Dianne and all other graduates. Thank your for your commitment to The Tower, and I wish you the best as you move on from Georgia Tech. I hope you will continue to support The Tower, as we all look forward to our growth in the coming years!
Sincerely,
Chuyong Yi
Editor-In-Chief
